It sounds weird, but try updating your Windows Media Player (https://www.download-free.com/media-player-software) that has been known to help. Just an idea.

I've relaoded the new version of Picasa on my Win7 x64 PC (i5, 4G ram) . And it always hangs/crashes after a minute of installation. However, the same file works well on my laptop, Win XP.

I have the same problem with my G3. So I use another program for those files. However on opening the image in the latest version of Picasa they are pink/purple then after a long period of 'refining' the images appear as they should. I hope Google will properly fix this soon

Got a little problem: When using picasa picture viewer on windows7, when I upload photos the browser opens after every single photo that gets uploaded, how can I disable that? Like when viewing a whole pile of photos from micro SD card I want to upload different photos, what I dislike is using the batch system, just want to disable the option somewhere so that it those not open google+ everytime. Any help would be great. THANKS!

My O/S is Win7 Home Premium 64-bit.
I have downloaded the latest Picasa i.e. Picasa 3.9 Build 135.93 which runs fine on my computer and does everything it's meant to do except send e mails using Microsoft Outlook.
I get an error message that says "Either there is no default mail client or else the current default mail client cannot fulfill the message request ..........."
I had no probs e mailing photos from Picasa using MS outlook when i was running Win XP.
Anybody else having this same problem with Win 7 O/S, or any suggestions as to what the problem might be?
MS outlook is definitely loaded as my default mail client and i have no probs e mailing Word or Excel docs or photo's direct from Windows Explorer.

Is there a printable "how to" manual for Picasa 3. Videos are good but hard to go back and check a process and they go far too fast for limited tech skills.
